Our review's lines on a test of two tuned Mercedes SLs in
the mag AutoBild Test&Tuning were not so positive, since
both luxury convertibles missed the sprint rates claimed by
their creators. One amongst them was the SL by A_R_T. It
took a full second more than promised to turn the hand to
the speedo's 100kmh mark.

But we also concluded by saying: 'After that test, the
established Merc tuners will surly fear the underdogs a
little less. But attention: this was neither the last attack nor
the last test'. And so we had, of course, our eyes kept on
the establishment's followers. In the case of the
Nuremberg-based Benz tuner A_R_T, we noticed remark-
able newnesses in terms of styling.
