The comfort of the M6's chassis would surly profit from an CSL alternative. This way, there will be no need for another, harder setup. And because the 6-series bases on the Five, the M6 is not expected to differ too much from the M5, except in matters of body, naturally, and engine, maybe. Additionally, another M5 option could come out at any time: A station wagon. Currently it doesn't seem that there are any definite intentions but Munich observes this segment. Says, main target is Audi in this case. On the precondition that too many customers prefer the box-shaped S line models, BMW will strike back by mounting the V10 on the 5-series station wagon.Equally interesting, the plans regarding other vehicles of the line-up. Except that for the M7.





It seems that BMW leaves this niche over for the tuners whereas an evolution model of the 1-series is safe to come. Powered by a curbed version of the current M3 motor, the hot hatch is said to possess about 300bhp which means, there is still a reserve of roughly 40bhp to keep the Golf and the A3 away. On the other hand, even more horses than that of the latest M3 appear very unlikely. Because, we know that BMW had a peck of trouble with increasing the E36's power of 321bhp to the recent model's 343bhp. Nonetheless, a further performance plus is possible but, eventually way too expensive.This surly would not be the case with launching an M3 Touring. Here applies the same as for the respective M5, it could come out, if desired.

How long this could take, shows the Z4. Customers and dealers yearn for that thing and BMW knows that, nevertheless, there is nothing but rumours regarding an M Roadster. Even if it would roll out of the M GmbH's workshops one day, which can be ruled out, it would be pretty late. Considerably lower chances on getting an M tag attached have the SUVs with the blue-white propeller logo. As far as we know, neither an M version derived from the X3 nor the X5 is in the planning stage. But, with or without them, the future will be exciting. Just in case Munich brings the M6 CSL, Audi and - despite of the 612bhp AMG cars - also Mercedes would be just followers. In the compact car segment, Volkswagen could possibly have a slight displacement advantage. But that's just speculation and only time will show. And we, as always, relish the prospect
