Mercedes Benz S-class by Brabus - front-left-view

MERCEDES S-CLASS FROM BRABUS

Brabus is going to present the full programme for the new S-class on the Essen Motor Show. Besides an aerodynamics package, the Mercedes specialists have prepared a lot of wheel options. Five diameters are offered by the German tuner.

The smallest one is seventeen inch. Twenty one inch is the largest option. Not surprising but highly remarkable is the range of engine upgrades. For the forthcoming top model S600, the company from Bottrop will offer four levels. First one brings about 580 instead of 515hp as standard.

Whereas the top version generates 730hp. Brabus do everything possible to gain this performance. Large turbo chargers are amongst the measures just as a displacement increase, adapted intercoolers and a modified exhaust system.

A completely revised crank mechanism and cylinder heads do suggest themselves in this case. Maximum torque of this version is over 1,300 Nm - on the test rigs of the engine labs of the German tuners. Since the S-class' gear box doesn't bear this stress, torque peak is limited to 1,100 Nm 'only'.
