Once French car maker Citroën were known for cutting-edge-technology. In the middle of the
last century they were even one of just a few
companies capable to compete with big names in the luxury sector such as
Mercedes-Benz and Cadillac. Of all things, it was design, technical problems and
lacking reliability that have made them falling behind in the 1980s and 1990s.
Now they
want to come back by focusing upon what has distinguished their cars more than any other
thing: Extravagant design. Their compact car C4 has lately been awarded as
'World Design Car Of The Year 2006' and their upper middle class offering C6 is an unusual
yet respectable rival for cars of the premium segment. We test drove it to gain some own
impressions of it. Click the respec- tive images below and at the right to view more of the Citroën models.
