Britain's most fierce Porsche 911 contender, the V8
Vantage from Aston Martin. All offerings are of course available for
the good-looking Roadster model too.
As usual with many Hamann add-on parts, the components of the aerodynamic kit
can be ordered in two
different materials. They could either be made from fibre glass or optionally
from matt carbon.
Light and expensive stuff also for the wheels: Rims and inner parts of the
3-piece alloys are connected by titanium bolts.
Outer diameter of the items is 20 inch.
Width at the front axle measure 9 inch.
The one at rear is 10.5. By a set of springs, the Vantage gets closer to
the ground. While front's reduction is around 30mm, the rear axle has
just lost 20mm of its spring travel. All these measures are stated to
enhance ride characteristics but many will take more interest in greater looks
rather than in sporting driving manners.
One thing which is not just about that is the exhaust system's modifications. Specially developed
catalysts and sports rear end mufflers are offered. Not only they change the
sound to a more noticeable tune, also performance is increased. 20 extra
ponies are announced by the tuners. The pedal to control all that, meaning
power and noise, could be replaced too.
It belongs to a set that additionally includes alu pedals for the clutch and the
brakes, as well as a foot rest. And if one deems the cabin of the Aston Martin
not exclusive enough, Hamann can help out with a floor mat
set and several interior applications, in addition to some square meters of fine
