Setting new standards seems to be an Audi vs Mercedes thing in the German press.
BMW, however, have an advantage in envi-
ronmental-friendly technologies. And, they
have the all-new 1-series convertible. Those who don't like the front
have to wait for the facelift whereas fellows that prefer more
sportiness should turn their eyes to AC Schnitzer.
The BMW specialists offer - besides wheels and add-on parts – several components
to refine the interior. On the engine sector, the company is currently preparing
upgrades for the models 135i, 120d and 123d. That is going to increase the power
of the petrol motor to 360hp while the smaller diesel cranks out 200hp.
The bigger self combustion engine will have 240hp after the treatment. For a
sportier ride, customers may select from a wide range of options. Amongst them
are lowering springs and complete suspensions. Also a dome strut can be ordered -
just in case the thing is desired to be a racer instead of a cruiser.
