Jaguar are going to derive an estate car from their middel-class series
XF, as they did it with their smaller model line, the X-type. Like the
XF sedan, the station wagon will get an extraordinarily sporty shape.
So it's mainly about stylish looks, and not so much about loading capacity.
Engine range is expected to be identical to that of the
notchback version.
That's also to say that an XFR Estate with more than 500hp
is planned to compete
with cars the likes of M5 Touring and S6 Avant.
The British car
makers will introduce the production model of the XF Estate on the Geneva
Auto Salon early
next year. However, rumour has it that there could be a foretaste given
before by a concept car.
